Therapy for Perinatal Health and Infertility

Journey to parenthood
infertility treatment, LGBTQAI+ family building, surrogacy, adoption
There are many paths to parenthood, and none of the paths is typically linear. Whether you’re undergoing IVF, exploring egg donation, working with a surrogate, or waiting to be matched with an adoptive child, the experience can feel filled with grief and worry. The rollercoaster of hope and disappointment can feel unbearable. The process can feel like a constant negotiation of your hopes and limits.
You don’t have to go through this alone.
I am trained to help you look at your inner world, not with an ultrasound or a blood sample. I’m prepared to help you look at whatever you need help with - whether it’s helping you digest all of your experiences in the treatment process, processing loss, helping you make decisions on what is best for you and your family, or helping you communicate with your partner.

Becoming a mother marks one of the biggest shifts in a woman’s identity. The birth of her baby also marks her own birth as a mother.
Caring for an utterly helpless newborn can evoke such intense feelings inside her that may be unfamiliar. While she feels hyperindependent and confident in her previous role at work, her experiences with her baby can rouse her own helpless feelings.
No matter what challenge you experience in motherhood, thinking together in therapy helps you heal and chart your own path forward.
