Therapy for Older Adults

You may feel caught between making peace with aspects of your current life and struggling with moments of despair. Some days, you enjoy your time with your family and friends and feel comforted by the goodness you have in your life. On other days, you might feel overcome with with grief for what you have lost - your home, aspects of your health, your partner. These feelings can weigh on you or can be hard to integrate in one coherent picture of you in your mind. The hardest part is feeling alone with these thoughts and feelings.

Whatever challenges you might face, big or small, it can help to talk with a trained professional.  This stage of life holds real potential for healing and growth, and a lot of meaningful psychological work can take place.

I offer both short or longer-term psychotherapy, either on-site in your retirement community or in my office. Together we can think through whatever is on your mind, whether it’s navigating a health issue, untangling a complicated family dynamic, or making sense of something about yourself that feels unclear.

It can be hard to be aware of your needs, especially if you’re worried that your needs will drive people away. My goal is to build trust and help you address whatever it is you need to think about.
